But they said, Some say, John the Baptist; and others, Elias; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. He said to them, But who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Then Jesus answered and said, Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in heaven. And I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Act 12:1-11
In quei giorni: Il re Erode mise le mani su alcuni membri della Chiesa per maltrattarli. Uccise di spada Giacomo, fratello di Giovanni. E, vedendo che ciò piaceva ai Giudei, fece arrestare anche Pietro. Erano allora i giorni degli azzimi. Arrestatolo, lo mise in prigione, dandolo in custodia a quattro squadre di quattro soldati ciascuna, volendo farlo comparire davanti al popolo dopo la Pasqua. Pietro, dunque, era custodito nella prigione; ma la Chiesa faceva continua orazione a Dio per lui.

In quel tempo: Gesú, venuto nei dintorni di Cesarea di Filippo, cosí interrogò i suoi discepoli: Gli uomini chi dicono che sia il Figlio dell’uomo? Essi risposero: Alcuni dicono che è Giovanni Battista, altri Elia, altri ancora Geremia o qualche altro profeta. Disse loro Gesú: E voi, chi dite che io sia? Simone Pietro rispose: Tu sei il Cristo, il Figlio di Dio vivente.
Oggi e’ la grande festa di Pietro e Paolo, Specialmente per noi, essendo oggi anche l’anniversario dell’ordinazione sacerdotale di Benedetto XVI.
Solo un cieco e un sordo non potrebbe comprendere il Vangelo. Chi dite che io sia? dice Gesu’
La risposta di Pietro viene dallo Spirito Santo!
Questa e’ la retta fede!
Gesu’ e’ il nostro Signore e Figlio di Dio, il nostro Salvatore!
Ebbene dice Gesu’: tu sei Pietro ( cambiando il nome di Simone figlio di Giona).
La prima immagine e’ la pietra. Tutte le altre pietre sono nel posto sbagliato! Il solo fondamento e’ Pietro!
Il Capo della Chiesa e’ Gesu’ Cristo e il suo rappresentante in terra e’ il suo Vicario! Si tratta di un dogma di fede!
Chi fa finta di non saperlo (e lo considera un titolo obsoleto) e’ un eretico e apostata!
Solo a Simone e’ stato cambiato il nome!
Ma il Signore consegna a Pietro anche le chiavi del paradiso e afferma: cio’ che legherai/scioglierai in terra sara’ legato/sciolto in cielo!
Pietro viene incarcerato, ma tutta la Chiesa prega incessantemente per lui!
Anche noi preghiamo incessantemente per Benedetto XVI!
Sia lodato Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Act 12: 1-11 In those days: King Herod got his hands on some members of the Church to mistreat them. He killed James, brother of John, by the sword. And, seeing that the Jews liked this, he also had Peter arrested. It was then the days of unleavened bread. Arrested, he put him in prison, giving him in custody to four teams of four soldiers each, wanting to have him appear before the people after Easter. Peter, therefore, was kept in prison; but the Church was constantly praying to God for him.
Matth 16: 13-19 At that time: Jesus, having come to the surroundings of Caesarea Philippi, thus asked his disciples: Who do men say that the Son of man is? They replied: Some say it is John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or some other prophet. Jesus saith unto them, And you, who do you say that I am? Today is the great feast of Peter and Paul, especially for us, as today is also the anniversary of the priestly ordination of Benedict XVI. Only the blind and the deaf could not understand the gospel. Who do you say I am? says Jesus Peter’s answer comes from the Holy Spirit!
This is right faith! Jesus is our Lord and Son of God, our Savior! Well Jesus says: you are Peter (changing the name of Simon son of Jonah). The first image is the stone. All the other stones are in the wrong place! The only foundation is Peter!
The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ and his representative on earth is his Vicar! It is a dogma of faith! Anyone who pretends not to know it (and considers it an obsolete title) is a heretic and apostate!
Only Simone’s name was changed! But the Lord also gives Peter the keys of heaven and states: what you bind / loose on earth will be bound / loose in heaven!
Peter is imprisoned, but the whole Church prays incessantly for him!
We too pray incessantly for Benedict XVI!
