In illo témpore: Convocátis Iesus duódecim Apóstolis, dedit illis virtútem et potestátem super ómnia dæmónia, et ut languóres curárent. Et misit illos prædicáre regnum Dei et sanáre infírmos. Et ait ad illos: Nihil tuléritis in via, neque virgam, neque peram, neque panem, neque pecúniam, neque duas túnicas habeátis. Et in quamcúmque domum intravéritis, ibi manéte et inde ne exeátis. Et quicúmque non recéperint vos: exeúntes de civitáte illa, étiam púlverem pedum vestrórum excútite in testimónium supra illos. Egréssi autem circuíbant per castélla, evangelizántes et curántes ubíque.

At that time, having summoned the twelve apostles, Jesus gave them power and authority over all the devils, and to cure diseases. And He sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And he said to them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two tunics. And whatever house you enter, stay there, and do not depart from thence. And whosoever will not receive you – go forth from that town, and shake off even the dust from your feet for a witness against them. And going forth, they went about from village to village, preaching the gospel and working cures everywhere.

In quei giorni: Filippo arrivato alla città di Samaria, vi predicava Cristo. La moltitudine prestava attenzione a quanto diceva Filippo, ascoltando di comune accordo, e ammirava i miracoli che faceva.
Luc 9:1-6
Gesù, convocati i Dodici, diede loro potere ed autorità su tutti i demoni e di guarire le malattie. E li mandò a predicare il regno di Dio e a guarire gli infermi. E disse loro: «Non prendete niente per viaggio, né bastone, né bisaccia, né pane, né danaro, né abbiate due tuniche.
La liturgia di oggi e’ identica a Pentecoste. Filippo (il diacono) si reca in Samaria predicando con lo Spirito Santo. Nel Vangelo Gesu’ manda gli apostoli a predicare il Vangelo. I vescovi sono i loro successori. Avendo la pienezza del sacerdozio hanno il dovere di svolgere le funzioni di santificazione, cacciare i demoni, guarire i malati e predicare il Vangelo.
I Vescovi debbono svolgere queste funzioni per il bene dell’umanita’. Se svolgessero la loro missione l’umanita’ non vivrebbe le presenti ambascie.
E anche noi dobbiamo sempre confidare nello Spirito Santo!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Acts 8: 5-8 In those days: Philip arrived in the city of Samaria and preached Christ there. The multitude paid attention to what Philip was saying, listening in common accord, and admired the miracles he performed.
Luke 9: 1-6 Jesus, summoned the Twelve, gave them power and authority over all demons and to heal diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. And he said to them, “Take nothing for a trip, neither stick, nor saddlebag, nor bread, nor money, nor have two tunics.
Today’s liturgy is identical to Pentecost. Philip (the deacon) goes to Samaria preaching with the Holy Spirit.
In the Gospel, Jesus sends the apostles to preach the Gospel.
The bishops are their successors. Having the fulness of the priesthood, they have the duty to perform the functions of sanctification, cast out demons, heal the sick, and preach the gospel.
Bishops must perform these functions for the good of humanity. If they carried out their mission, humanity would not live the present embassies.
And we too must always trust in the Holy Spirit!
