EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Evangelium Luc 12:35-40
Gospel Luke 12:35-40
At that time, Jesus said to His disciples, Let your loins be girt about and your lamps burning, and you yourselves like men waiting for their master’s return from the wedding; so that when he comes and knocks, they may straight-way open to him. Blessed are those servants whom the master, on his return, shall find watching. Amen I say to you, he will gird himself, and will make them recline at table, and will come and serve them. And if he comes in the second watch, and if in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those servants! But of this be assured, that if the householder had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would certainly have watched, and not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because at an hour that you do not expect, the Son of Man is coming.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI MARTEDI 17 MAGGIO 2022, ORE 8.00
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*,1)
Eccli 31:8-11

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,2)
Eccli 31: 8-11 Blessed is the man who is found without blemish, who did not go after gold, and did not hope for money and treasures. Who is this and will we give him praise?
Luke 12: 35-40 At that time: Jesus said to his disciples: «Let your hips be girded and lighted the lamps in your hands, like those who wait for their master when they get married, to open him as soon as he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he arrives, finds awake.
We have listened to the passage from the Gospel that invites us to be vigilant. The Son of man must return to earth. It will be a kingdom of justice.
He will set out to serve faithful servants. The lighted lamp is that of faith: we are called to be vigilant in prayer, waiting for the Lord. He will serve us with his presence and his grace.
Today we celebrate Friar San Pasquale Baylon (Pascal Baylon, Spanish: Torrehermosa, May 16, 1540 – Vila Real, May 17, 1592) is a barefoot Franciscan, humble but very devoted to the Eucharist.
This is why he is the patron saint of Eucharistic works because he spent hours in prayer in ecstasy before the Blessed Sacrament.
The next Pentecost will be the coldest in the history of the Church. There will be no faith in him, and therefore the Holy Spirit. But we don’t want to be like that!
The adoration of Jesus now has even more value, even from a distance. It will be rewarded even more, because we are under the guidance of the BVM awaiting the return of the Lord!
And let’s remember: where Peter is, there is the Church!
Praised be Jesus Christ. Always be praised!
