EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Evangelium
Matt 10:23-28
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis: Cum persequéntur vos in civitáte ista, fúgite in áliam.
Gospel
Matt 10:23-28
At that time, Jesus said to His disciples, When they persecute you in one town, flee to another. Amen I say to you, you will not have gone through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. No disciple is above his teacher, nor is the servant above his master. It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and for the servant to be like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household! Therefore do not be afraid of them. For there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in darkness, speak it in the light; and what you hear whispered, preach it on the housetops. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather be afraid of Him, Who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI LUNEDI 2 MAGGIO 2022, ORE 8.00

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
2 Cor 4:5-14.
Oggi celebriamo San Atanasio.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
2 Cor 4: 5-14. Brothers: We do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ our Lord: we are your servants for the sake of Jesus. Indeed, that God who said “from the darkness let the light shine”, he himself shone in our hearts, so that the knowledge might be clear of the glory of God in the person of Jesus Christ.
Matt 10: 23-28 At that time Jesus said to his disciples: “When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. In truth I tell you: you will not have finished traveling through all the cities of Israel, before the Son of man comes. The disciple is not more than the teacher, nor the servant more than the master. It is enough for the disciple to be like the teacher, and for the servant as the master.
The disciple is no greater than the teacher and proclaims the revealed truth. This is the light. St. Paul says that the apostles are like earthenware vessels, but they are a great treasure.
Today we celebrate Saint Athanasius, Bishop of Alexandria, great defender of Orthodoxy, Saint Athanasius (295-373) fought the Arian heresy all his life. By denying the divinity of the word, the Arians made Christ a man, simply raised in grace in the eyes of God more than other men. Saint Athanasius participated in the Council of Nicaea in 325 and was until the end the champion of the faith defined by the council.
The heresy had spread very widely and she was forced to go into exile in the West five times. Thus spread the gospel. But finally in 325 he was rehabilitated and his loyalty to the Depositum FIdei was rewarded!
We too, like Saint Athanasius, must fight for the faith and the Depositum Fidei!
Praised be Jesus Christ. Always be praised!
