Evangelium
Ioann 8:12-20
Gospel
John 8:12-20
At that time, Jesus spoke to the multitudes of the Jews, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows Me does not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. The Pharisees therefore said to Him, You bear witness to Yourself. Your witness is not true. Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I bear witness to Myself, My witness is true, because I know where I came from and where I go. But you do not know where I came from or where I go. You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. And even if I do judge, My judgment is true, because I am not alone, but with Me is He Who sent Me, the Father. And in your Law it is written that the witness of two persons is true. It is I Who bear witness to Myself, and He Who sent Me, the Father, bears witness to Me. They therefore said to Him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered, You know neither Me nor My Father. If you knew Me, you would then know My Father also. Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, while teaching in the temple. And no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come.

DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI OGGI SABATO 2 APRILE 2022, ORE 8.00
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
Isa 49:8-15

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
Isa 49: 8-15 This is what the Lord says: “In the time of grace I heard you, on the day of your salvation I helped you and guarded you, I made you a pledge of covenant with the people, to restore the earth, to take possession of the lost inheritances: to say to those who are in chains: “Go free”; and to those who are in darkness: “Come to the light”. They will graze freely and have pastures all over the plains.
Joann 8: 12-20 Then Jesus spoke thus to the throng of the Jews: «I am the light of the world: whoever follows me will not walk in darkness; but he will have the light of life ».
We have heard the consoling words of the prophet Isaiah: the people of Israel will return to the promised land, His Covenant will be restored, God has remembered his people (like the mother of his child).
In the Gospel Jesus says to the Jews “I am the light of the world, who follows me will have the light of life”.
Finding Jesus is therefore finding life.
In this way we find our hope!
Praised be Jesus Christ. Always be praised!
