Si tratta di un esperimento effettivamente eseguito dai ricercatori Ted Kaptchuck e la collega Julia Haas, del Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center di Boston. Ma riguarda soltanto “effetti collaterali” puramente psicologici!
“Dire ai pazienti che” la somministrazione del vaccino “ha effetti collaterali simili a quelli prodotti dal placebo nei trial riduce l’ansia e induce i pazienti a prendersi del tempo per valutare gli effetti stessi”, dice Ted Kaptchuk, professore all’ Harvard medical school e autore dello studio. “Servono in ogni caso altri dati”, aggiunge.
Kaptchuck e la collega Julia Haas, del Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center di Boston, hanno analizzato gli eventi avversi durante i vari studi. In ogni trial, a chi ha ricevuto il placebo è stata somministrata una soluzione salina. Più del 35% delle persone ‘vaccinate’ con il placebo hanno lamentato mal di testa e stanchezza, mentre il 16% ha fatto riferimento a dolore, arrossamento e gonfiore nel punto dell’iniezione.
