Matt 22:34-46
In illo témpore: Accessérunt ad Iesum pharisǽi: et interrogávit eum unus ex eis legis doctor, tentans eum: Magíster, quod est mandátum magnum in lege? Ait illi Iesus: Díliges Dóminum, Deum tuum, ex toto corde tuo et in tota ánima tua et in tota mente tua. Hoc est máximum et primum mandátum. Secúndum autem símile est huic: Díliges próximum tuum sicut teípsum. In his duóbus mandátis univérsa lex pendet et prophétæ. Congregátis autem pharisǽis, interrogávit eos Iesus, dicens: Quid vobis vidétur de Christo? cuius fílius est? Dicunt ei: David. Ait illis: Quómodo ergo David in spíritu vocat eum Dóminum, dicens: Dixit Dóminus Dómino meo, sede a dextris meis, donec ponam inimícos tuos scabéllum pedum tuórum? Si ergo David vocat eum Dóminum, quómodo fílius eius est? Et nemo poterat ei respóndere verbum: neque ausus fuit quisquam ex illa die eum ámplius interrogáre.

At that time, the Pharisees came to Jesus and one of them, a doctor of the Law, putting Him to the test, asked Him, Master, which is the great commandment in the Law? Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets. Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus questioned them, saying, What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is He? They said to Him, David’s. He said to them, How then does David in the spirit call Him Lord, saying, The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool?’ If David, therefore, calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his son? And no one could answer Him a word; neither did anyone dare from that day forth to ask Him any more questions.

Ephes 4:1-6
Fratelli: Io, prigioniero del Signore, vi esorto a procedere in modo degno della vocazione a cui siete stati chiamati, con tutta umiltà e mansuetudine, con pazienza, sopportandovi gli uni gli altri con carità, solléciti di conservare l’unità dello spirito mediante il vincolo della pace. Uno solo il corpo e uno solo lo spirito, come anche siete stati chiamati a una sola speranza della vostra vocazione. Un solo Signore, una sola fede, un solo battesimo. Un solo Dio, e Padre di tutti, che è al di sopra di tutti e agisce in tutti, ed è in tutti noi. Egli è benedetto nei secoli dei secoli. Amen.

In quel tempo: I Farisei si avvicinarono a Gesú, e uno di essi, dottore della legge, lo interrogò per tentarlo: Maestro, qual è il grande comandamento della legge? Gesú gli disse: Amerai il Signore Dio tuo con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta la tua ànima e con tutta la tua mente. Questo è il piú grande e il primo comandamento. Il secondo poi è simile a questo: Amerai il prossimo tuo come te stesso. In questi due comandamenti è racchiusa tutta la legge e i profeti. Ed essendo i Farisei radunati insieme, Gesú domandò loro: Che cosa vi pare del Cristo? di chi è figlio? Gli risposero: Di Davide. Egli disse loro: Com’è allora che Davide in spirito lo chiama Signore, dicendo: Dice il Signore al mio Signore, siedi alla mia destra, sino a tanto che io metta i tuoi nemici a sgabello dei tuoi piedi? Se dunque Davide lo chiama Signore, com’è egli suo figlio? E nessuno sapeva rispondergli: né da quel momento in poi vi fu chi ardisse interrogarlo.
Oggi e’ l’anniversario il 41-esimo della mia ordinazione sacerdotale. Questa messa per ringraziare il Signore della vocazione e ordinazione sacerdotale. L’apostolo e’ come un vaso di creta che porta un grande tesoro che e’ il corpo e sangue di Gesu’ Cristo.
E’una missione fondamentale della Chiesa. Il sacerdote agisce infatti in “persona Christi” e il suo ruolo e’ quindi quello di mantenere la tradizione.
Preghiamo quindi per i sacerdoti.
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Brethren: I, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all humility and meekness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, careful to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace: one body and one Spirit, even as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one Baptism, one God and Father of all, Who is above all, and throughout all, and in us all, Who is blessed forever and ever. Amen.

Today is the 41st anniversary of my priestly ordination. This mass to thank the Lord for his priestly vocation and ordination. The apostle is like an earthen vase that carries a great treasure which is the body and blood of Jesus Christ. It is a fundamental mission of the Church. The priest in fact acts in “persona Christi” and his role is therefore to maintain the tradition. Let us therefore pray for the priests.
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
