At that time, as Jesus was speaking to the multitudes, a certain woman from the crowd lifted up her voice and said to Him, Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts that nursed You. But He said, Rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God and keep it.

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
La prima lettura ci parla della Sapienza che fu creata da Dio all’inizio [della creazione], ebbe dimora a Gerusalemme, mise le proprie radici nel popolo dio Israele e ha sede nell’assemblea degli Eletti.
Il Vangelo (secondo Luca) cita l’episodio in cui una donna rivolgendosi a Gesu’ In quel tempo, mentre Gesù parlava alla folla, avvenne che una donna, tra la folla loda la madre di Gesu’. Ma Gesu’ risponde che e’ sono beati piuttosto coloro che ascoltano la parola di Dio, e la custodiscono.
Maria e’ il nostro modello (il migliore possibile) della fede in Dio e Gesu’ Cristo.
Ricordiamo anche S. Zefirino che ebbe molto a soffrire come papa. Simile in questo a Benedetto XVI.
Stiamo attraversando la notte ma non siamo soli!
C’e’ infatti con noi Maria che ci protegge assieme a tutti i santi!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

The first reading speaks to us of Wisdom which was created by God at the beginning [of creation], dwelt in Jerusalem, put down its roots in the people of Israel and has its seat in the assembly of the Elect. The Gospel (according to Luke) mentions the episode in which a woman addressing Jesus At that time, while Jesus was speaking to the crowd, it happened that a woman praised Jesus’ mother in the crowd. But Jesus replies that those who hear the word of God and keep it are blessed. Mary is our model (the best possible) of faith in God and Jesus Christ. We also remember St. Zephyrinus who suffered a lot as pope. Similar in this to Benedict XVI. We are going through the night but we are not alone! In fact, Mary is with us who protects us together with all the saints!
