DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dal quarto libro dei Re. (Eliseo resuscita il figlio dalla Sunamita)
In quei giorni venne una donna Sunamita ad Eliseo sul monte Carmelo. L’uomo di Dio, avendola vista da lontano, disse a Giezi suo servo: «Ecco lì quella Sunamita: va ad incontrarla e dille: State bene tu, il .tuo marito e il tuo figlio?». Essa rispose: «Bene». Ma giunta che fu dall’uomo di Dio, sul monte, gli abbracciò i piedi.
Dal Vangelo secondo S. Luca. (Gesu’ resuscita Lazzaro)
In quel tempo, era ammalato un certo Lazzaro di Betania, il villaggio di Maria e Marta sua sorella. Maria era quella che unse d’unguento il Signore e gli asciugò i piedi coi suoi capelli; l’infermo era Lazzaro suo fratello. Le sorelle mandarono dunque a dirgli: «Signore, ecco, colui che tu ami, è ammalato?». Ciò udito, Gesù rispose: «Questa non è infermità da morirne, ma è per la gloria di Dio, affinché per essa il Figlio di Dio sia glorificato». Or Gesù voleva bene a Maria, a Marta sua sorella, e a Lazzaro. E, come ebbe sentito che era infermo, si trattenne ancora due giorni nel luogo dov’era. Dopo di che, disse ai discepoli: «Torniamo in Giudea».
Molti Giudei, che erano venuti da Maria e da Marta, allorché mirarono quel che aveva fatto Gesù, credettero in lui.
Si fanno sempre piu’ frequenti i cenni alla resurrezione. Oggi abbiamo anche la resurrezione di Lazzaro quattro giorni dopo la sua sepoltura. Anche Lazzaro, come poi avverra’ con Gesu’ dopo la sua morte in croce, e’ sepolto in una grotta.
Il corpo di Lazzaro e’ legato essendo ancora un corpo umano fisico. Deve quindi essere sciolto dalle bende al contrario di quanto avverra’ con la resurrezione di Cristo.
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the fourth book of Kings. (Elisha resurrects the Shunammite’s son)
In those days a Shunammite woman came to Elisha on Mount Carmel. The man of God, having seen her from afar, said to his servant Giezi: “There is that Shunammite woman: go and meet her and say to her: Are you, your husband and your son well?”. She replied: “Good.” But when she reached the man of God on the mountain, she embraced his feet.
From the Gospel according to St. Luke. (Jesus resurrects Lazarus)
At that time, a certain Lazarus from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha, was ill. Mary was the one who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair; the sick man was his brother Lazarus. So the sisters sent and said to him: “Lord, behold, the one you love is sick?”. Having heard this, Jesus replied: “This is not an illness that would cause death, but it is for the glory of God, so that through it the Son of God may be glorified.” Now Jesus loved Mary, her sister Martha, and Lazarus. And when he heard that he was ill, he remained two more days in the place where he was. After that, he said to the disciples: “Let us return to Judea.” Many Jews, who had come to Mary and Martha, when they saw what Jesus had done, believed in him. The references to the resurrection are becoming more and more frequent. Today we also have the resurrection of Lazarus four days after his burial. Even Lazarus, as will happen with Jesus after his death on the cross, is buried in a cave. Lazarus’ body is bound as he is still a physical human body. It must therefore be released from the bandages, contrary to what will happen with the resurrection of Christ.
