Matt 19:27-29
In illo témpore: Dixit Petrus ad Iesum: Ecce, nos relíquimus ómnia, et secúti sumus te: quid ergo erit nobis? Iesus autem dixit illis: Amen, dico vobis, quod vos, qui secuti estis me, in regeneratióne, cum séderit Fílius hóminis in sede maiestátis suæ, sedébitis et vos super sedes duódecim, iudicántes duódecim tribus Israël. Et omnis, qui relíquerit domum, vel fratres, aut soróres, aut patrem, aut matrem, aut uxórem, aut fílios, aut agros, propter nomen meum, céntuplum accípiet, et vitam ætérnam possidébit.

At that time, Peter said to Jesus, Behold, we have left all and followed You; what then shall we have? And Jesus said to them, Amen I say to you that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit on the throne of His glory, shall also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall possess life everlasting.

Dal libro della Sapienza.
Ecco il gran sacerdote che nei suoi giorni piacque a Dio, e fu trovato giusto, e nel giorno dell’ira fu strumento di conciliazione. Nessuno fu simile a lui nel conservare la legge dell’Eccelso. Per questo, con giuramento, il Signore gli assicurò la gloria nella sua stirpe.
Dal Vangelo secondo S. Matteo.
In quel tempo Pietro disse a Gesù: «Ecco noi abbiamo lasciato ogni cosa e ti abbiamo seguito; che cosa adunque avremo noi?» E Gesù disse loro: «In verità vi dico: Voi che mi avete seguito, nella rigenerazione, quando il Figlio dell’uomo sederà sul trono della sua gloria, sederete anche voi sopra dodici troni a giudicare le dodici tribù di Israele».
Oggi ricordiamo S. Romualdo abate. Che ha fondato a Camaldoli una comunita’ Benedettina. E che per questo pose al centro della sua vita e quella dei suoi confratelli la preghiera e la vita monastica. Il suo desiderio era quello di vivere pienamente la Scrittura come eremita.
Occorre infatti una vita totalmente dedicata al Regno di Dio.
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the book of Wisdom. Here is the high priest who in his days pleased God, and was found righteous, and in the day of wrath was an instrument of conciliation. No one was like him in maintaining the law of the Exalted. For this reason, with an oath, the Lord assured him of glory in his lineage.
From the Gospel according to St. Matthew. Romualdo abbot. Who founded a Benedictine community in Camaldoli. And for this reason he placed prayer and monastic life at the center of his life and that of his brothers.
