EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Luc 10:1-9
Gospel
Luke 10:1-9
At that time, the Lord appointed seventy-two others, and sent them forth two by two before Him into every town and place where He Himself was about to come. And He said to them, The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest. Go. Behold, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry neither purse, nor wallet, nor sandals, and greet no one on the way. Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house!’ And if a son of peace be there, your peace will rest upon him; but if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they have; for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. And whatever town you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you, and cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you.’
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – MARTEDI 6 FEBBRAIO 2024 ORE 17.30

Oggi ricordiamo S. Tito vescovo.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
From the book of Wisdom.
Here is the high priest who in his days pleased God, and was found righteous, and in the day of wrath was an instrument of conciliation. No one was like him in maintaining the law of the Exalted. For this reason, with an oath, the Lord assured him of glory in his lineage.
From the Gospel according to St. Luke.
At that time: The Lord also chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them two by two ahead of him into every city and place where he was about to go. And he said to them: “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” And the disciples will have to greet them by saying: “The Kingdom of God is about to come to you”. Today we remember S. Tito bishop. One of the first collaborators of the Apostle Paul (called by him “dearest son”). St. Paul recommends Titus to establish a presbyter in every city of Crete and to keep faith with tradition. In fact, many taught the precepts of men instead of the truth. It is a situation similar to the present one in which the word of Christ is no longer proclaimed, but false truths, close to the world but far from Christ, are preached – out of personal vanity and pride. May the sincerity of the apostles and the courage of the martyrs confirm us in the faith of the apostles!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
