Luc 2:33-40
In illo témpore: Erat Ioseph et María Mater Iesu, mirántes super his quæ dicebántur de illo. Et benedíxit illis Símeon, et dixit ad Maríam Matrem eius: Ecce, pósitus est hic in ruínam et in resurrectiónem multórum in Israël: et in signum, cui contradicétur: et tuam ipsíus ánimam pertransíbit gládius, ut reveléntur ex multis córdibus cogitatiónes. Et erat Anna prophetíssa, fília Phánuel, de tribu Aser: hæc procésserat in diébus multis, et víxerat cum viro suo annis septem a virginitáte sua. Et hæc vídua usque ad annos octogínta quátuor: quæ non discedébat de templo, ieiúniis et obsecratiónibus sérviens nocte ac die. Luc 2:33-40
In quel tempo: Giuseppe e Maria, madre di Gesù, restavano meravigliati delle cose che si dicevano di lui. E Simeone li benedisse, e disse a Maria, sua madre: Ecco egli è posto per la rovina e per la resurrezione di molti in Israele, e sarà bersaglio di contraddizioni, e una spada trapasserà la tua stessa anima, affinché restino svelati i pensieri di molti cuori. C’era inoltre una profetessa, Anna, figlia di Fanuel, della tribù di Aser, molto avanti negli anni, vissuta per sette anni con suo marito. Rimasta vedova fino a ottantaquattro anni, non usciva dal tempio, servendo Dio notte e giorno con preghiere e digiuni. E nello stesso tempo ella sopraggiunse, e dava gloria al Signore, parlando di lui a quanti aspettavano la redenzione di Israele. E quando ebbero compiuto tutto secondo la legge del Signore, se ne tornarono in Galilea, nella loro città di Nazaret. E il fanciullo cresceva e si irrobustiva, pieno di sapienza: e la grazia di Dio era con lui.

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dalla lettera di san Paolo apostolo ai Gàlati. Da quando Dio Padre ci ha mandato Gesu’ ormai nessuno è più schiavo, ma figlio, e se è figlio, è anche erede, per la grazia di Dio.
Dal Vangelo secondo Luca. Maria e Giuseppe portano Gesu’ al Tempio per la presentazione.
Oggi, ultimo giorno dell’anno dobbiamo ringraziare Dio per tutti i doni di cui non ci rendiamo nemmeno contro. Tutto proviene dalla sua provvidenza, sia i beni spirituali che materiali.
Dalla notte di Natale ringraziamo il Signore. E’ infatti importante ringraziarlo perche’ ci ha portato la redenzione. Da minorenni, senza la grazia del Signore, siamo diventati maggiorenni, cioe’ figli di Dio.
In piu’ abbiamo ricevuto lo Spirito Santo ricevuto il giorno del battesimo. Tanti non sanno valorizzare questo valore che hanno nella loro anima. Ma tutti noi possiamo sempre invocarlo! E ottenere il suo aiuto, come promesso da Gesu’: possiamo pregare la preghiera del Padre Nostro e ricevere lo Spirito Santo!
Questo e’ il grande dono!

Come Simeone e la profetessa Anna nel Tempio riconosciamo Gesu’ Bambino il nostro Redentore! E lo ringraziamo per quanto ricevuto nell’anno trascorso e anche nell’attesa del nuovo anno! Vogliamo essere uniti alla Chiesa (la pietra d’angolo).
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Galatians. Since God the Father sent us Jesus, no one is any longer a slave, but a son, and if he is a son, he is also an heir, by the grace of God. From the Gospel according to Luke.
Mary and Joseph bring Jesus to the Temple for the presentation. Today, the last day of the year, we must thank God for all the gifts that we don’t even realize. Everything comes from his providence, both spiritual and material goods. Since Christmas night we have thanked the Lord. It is in fact important to thank him because he brought us redemption. From minors, without the grace of the Lord, we have become adults, that is, children of God. Furthermore we received the Holy Spirit received on the day of baptism. Many do not know how to appreciate this value that they have in their soul. But we can all always call on him! And obtain his help, as promised by Jesus: we can pray the Our Father prayer and receive the Holy Spirit! This is the great gift! Today we recite the Te Deum for this reason. Like Simeon and the prophetess Anna in the Temple we recognize the Child Jesus as our Redeemer! And we thank him for what we have received in the past year and also in anticipation of the new year! We want to be united with the Church (the cornerstone).
