DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Nel Vangelo Gesu’ consegna a Pietro le chiavi del Regno di Dio. Le porte dell’inferno non prevarranno sulla Chiesa.
Oggi celebriamo la festa di San Damaso papa (nel IV secolo). I cristiani potevanoi esercitare il loro culto. Ma fiorivano le eresie, quella dell’arianesimo in particolare. San Damaso cerco’ di onorare le sepolture dei martiri e fece tradurre in latino (“la vulgata”) da San Girolamo le sacre scritture.
“Pasci i miei agnelli”, questo il comandamento di Gesu’ a Pietro. Comandamento oggi trascurato- Le anime sono disperse e abbandonate a causa dei sacerdoti che le trascurano. Occorre chhe i pastorti si rensdano consapevoli, nell’attesa che il Signore intervenga!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

In the Gospel, Jesus gives Peter the keys to the Kingdom of God. The gates of hell will not prevail over the Church. Today we celebrate the feast of Pope San Damaso (in the 4th century). Christians could practice their religion. But heresies flourished, that of Arianism in particular. Saint Damasus tried to honor the tombs of the martyrs and had the sacred writings translated into Latin (“the Vulgate”) by Saint Jerome. “Feed my lambs”, this is Jesus’ commandment to Peter. Commandment neglected today – Souls are scattered and abandoned because of priests who neglect them. Shepherds need to become aware, waiting for the Lord to intervene!
