Marc 7:31-37
In illo témpore: Exiens Iesus de fínibus Tyri, venit per Sidónem ad mare Galilǽæ, inter médios fines Decapóleos. Et addúcunt ei surdum et mutum, et deprecabántur eum, ut impónat illi manum. Et apprehéndens eum de turba seórsum, misit dígitos suos in aurículas eius: et éxspuens, tétigit linguam eius: et suspíciens in cœlum, ingémuit, et ait illi: Ephphetha, quod est adaperíre. Et statim apértæ sunt aures eius, et solútum est vínculum linguæ eius, et loquebátur recte. Et præcépit illis, ne cui dícerent. Quanto autem eis præcipiébat, tanto magis plus prædicábant: et eo ámplius admirabántur, dicéntes: Bene ómnia fecit: et surdos fecit audíre et mutos loqui.

Mark 7:31-37
At that time, Jesus departing from the district of Tyre came by way of Sidon to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the district of Decapolis. And they brought to Him one deaf and dumb, and entreated Him to lay His hand upon him. And taking him aside from the crowd, He put His fingers into the man’s ears, and spitting, He sighed, and said to him, Ephpheta, that is, Be opened. And his ears were at once opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosed, and he began to speak correctly. And He charged them to tell no one. But the more He charged them, so much the more did they continue to publish it. And so much the more did they wonder, saying, He has done all things well. He has made both the deaf to hear and the dumb to speak.

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
E’ la S. Messa Votiva del SS. Cuore di Gesù.
Prima lettura dalla lettera agli efesini. Paolo ricorda che a lui, infimo tra gli apostoli, e’ stata data la grazia di predicare il Vangelo. Prega che su tutti i suoi discepoli discenda lo Spirito Santo, che consenta di conoscere in tutta la profondita’, altezza e larghezza la fede in Dio.
Il Vangelo e’ quello che rievoca la morte in croce di Gesu’. A Gesu’, come gia’ le profezie, non viene rotto alcun osso, ma venne colpito sul fianco con la lancia da un centurione. Ne uscirono acqua e sangue. E’ la parasceve e gli apostoli chiedono a Pilato di poter seppellire Gesu’ secondo l’usanza ebraica.
Anche Maria ha partecipato sino in fondo al sacrificio di Gesu’ Cristo. Per questo e’ corredentrice, per la redenzione di tutti gli uomini che accettino di credere in Gesu’ Cristo!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
It is the S. Votive Mass of the SS. Heart of Jesus. First reading from the letter to the Ephesians. Paul recalls that he, the least of the apostles, was given the grace to preach the Gospel. He prays that the Holy Spirit may descend upon all his disciples, to enable them to know their faith in God in all its depth, height and breadth. The Gospel is the one that recalls Jesus’ death on the cross. As in the prophecies, no bones were broken in Jesus, but he was struck on the side with a spear by a centurion. Water and blood came out. It is Parasceve and the apostles ask Pilate to be able to bury Jesus according to Jewish custom. Mary too participated fully in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. For this she is co-redemptrix, for the redemption of all men who accept to believe in Jesus Christ!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
